How the project began…
"A natural born Artist, He created bonsais when he was young, he painted since little
boy, he loved to create and never imitate… "
The Artist moved from Dallas to Austin Texas on 1993. On 1994 opened a nightclub
on Sixth Street called Planet Austin and throughout 5 years the artist painted the
whole place; nearly 5000sq ft with murals in 3D when used with specialty glasses,
all fluorescent lighting with sculpted heads coming out of the walls and a cave on
the back with a private bartender, a waterfall and a total of 4 caves for the guests.
For five years the artist worked on this project and Planet Austin did pretty well
with a very strong following and great staff.
On 1999 Planet Austin Closed and the artist moved to new projects:
The artist had painted one painting named “The Last Forest” … ( A woman looking at
a forest inside a bottle).
A few years passed, other projects were made, but circumstances send the artist
back to the project of self-sustained forests, perhaps because now the oaks are
dying from oak wilt, the cedars are dying because of a worm, and nature is suffering
a devastation on the climate changes…
The artist purpose is to reforest the planet simply, fun and easy, where is not only
Save the planet! But to act actively with enjoyment saving the planet, nature and,
our own creations to help reverse the damage we have caused... o better place to
do it than Austin Texas.
Is this project weird? Keep Austin Weird… will have new roots!
The Artist began on 2012 with several natural projects in Austin Texas (Each project
can take 2 years to know if it worked or if it failed) after hundreds of experiments,
bring these new ideas into Arte.Land where they can be displayed, and the public
can recreate them, make them, buy them, or simply enjoy the show.
The place will be located in a parcel of land in Austin Texas, with seasonal rivers and
waterfalls at close distance from the Capitol, secluded enough to have peace, enjoy
starry nights and the sounds of wildlife ... Yet, only minutes from the City of Austin.
A place to promote the Texas Arts and Artists, creativity and to co habit together
with nature and wildlife, providing food, shelter and water to native species, breed
native species of trees for miniature forests and for reforesting. A place where kids
can come to play, learn and create a place were families can gather to enjoy nature,
to enjoy life.
A place where artists can create peacefully, and display their Artworks on special
events and through online sites, reason of the E on ArtE.Land, mixing Art,
technology and nature whilst saving the planet!
ArtE.Land has now several projects been made. Including
Art with Cedar: Cedar tree which in fact is a Juniper…
A tree that has learned to survive and thrive in the Austin Texas Area, and up to
date the tree is mainly used for oil production, or to make fence posts.
The wood of this tree is great for outdoors; can last decades outside, that is a plus!
The Artist will have a section on ArtE.Land to create all possible ideas with the
Juniper trees WITHOUT KILLING THE TREE.
including red oak forest, sumac forest, mixed forests, RedBud Forest, Elm Foredst
and a rare tree (Native) found in the property with red bark is been reproduced.
Ecosferes: Only around 10 have been made for future display
Living walls are now on the making.
The artist will create several more experiments, projects and works, but the budget
is very limited.
